One cool thing that I discovered after I shut down for the evening was while in series mode, the drive select brings the llama in and out of the mix while keeping the rhino always on. I’m trying to keep my expectations in check but honestly, I’ve done the TS thing so many times that there’s no reason for me to expect a poor performance. Tonight I’m going to haul my rig down to my rental space to get loud and see what results I get.
Fat sloppy American hair with tight focused British punch, and the clean up is better than the majority of pedals I’ve played through. Then I ran it in series, backed the gain off the llama and upped its volume and I found what I’ve been looking for. Switched to the llama side set for high gain to try to set this thing up like a channel switcher which worked ok but not really what I was looking for.
Started off with my classic 50’s strat (bone stock) with the green rhino side set for something solid and crunchy, little hotter than Malcom. This is a little preemptive because I’ve yet to get the amp up to live volumes or use it with a band but my first impression is favorable.
